O Canada in California!

Canadians are always up to great things down in the US…
So we thought, “why not show it off!”

You’ll double-dip in Canadiana, because this trip includes 2 BIG events:
Night 1: Saturday, October 19th, you’ll be grooving at the Hollywood Bowl, with tickets to see Canadian music legend JONI MITCHELL and The Joni Jam!!!
Night 2: Sunday, October 20th, it’s Canada’s pastime in Southern California, the LA Kings battle the Anaheim Ducks!!

Roundtrip airfare and accommodation are included in this once in a lifetime getaway!

How To Enter:
September 23 – October 10: Just listen for the sound of Flight 103-1 throughout the day, Monday-Sunday.
When you hear the jet, text the word “CALIFORNIA” to 250-868-1031.
On Friday October 11th, we’ll announce the winner of O CANADA IN CALIFORNIA!

Official Contest Rules & Regulations

By entering the Contest, all persons are deemed to have read and to have accepted these Rules.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada age 19 and up. No person who is employed by Pattison Media or its affiliate companies, and no family member of such employee, shall be entitled to enter the Contest.
The prospective winner of the Contest must have a valid passport, and be permitted to travel into the United States.  The prospective winner must be one of the two travelers, as their name will be used for airfare and hotel accommodation.

Prize

The Contest “Prize” for O Canada in California consists of:

• 2 round-trip airfares from Kelowna International Airport to Los Angeles. Departure from Kelowna scheduled on Friday, October 18, 2024. Departure from Los Angeles scheduled on Monday, October 21, 2024.

• 3 night hotel accommodation in the Los Angeles area.

• 2 tickets to Joni Mitchell and the Joni Jam at the Hollywood Bowl, Saturday, October 19, 2024.

• 2 tickets to Los Angeles Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Sunday, October 20, 2024

How to Enter

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest.

Upon hearing the cue-to-text, Entrants must text the word “California” to 250-868-1031 (correct spelling and capitalization of California is not necessary, though it must be clear beyond reasonable doubt). Only 1 entry per cue-to-text play will be entered. Entrants may text whenever they hear the cue-to-text played.  Entries will not qualify if received more than 5 minutes after the cue-to-text plays on the air, allowing for any delay via online stream, and to give Entrants time to text in.

On October 10, 2024, a representative of Pattison Media will compile a list of all the texted entries with O Canada (or minor variations), and file an timestamped affidavit of all the cue-to-text plays. Any entries submitted outside of the 5 minute window of a cue-to-text will be dropped from consideration.  The qualified finalists list will be added to a master list compiled from any other Pattison Media property participating for this Contest Prize.  A prospective winner will be randomly drawn from the master list, and contacted by the phone number they used to enter the Contest.  Should the prospective winner not be 19+ or not have a valid passport, the representative will randomly draw another prospective winner.

Odds of Winning

The odds of winning the Contest are dependent on the number of texters attempting to enter the Contest at any given time, on any participating Pattison Media property.

Value

The Prize may be exchanged for $2,500 CDN. If the prospective winner elects to exchange the Prize for a cheque for $2,500 CDN, they waive any claim on the Prize as stated above. Pattison Media reserves the right to the Prize should the prospective winner select the money.

General

Prize winners shall be responsible for all costs and expenses not explicitly stated to form part of the Prize, including but not limited to taxes, fees, gratuities, insurance, transportation, or travel to and from the airport where a prize includes travel unless anything contrary is expressly provided for in the description of any such prize.  Additional rules and regulations for Pattison Media contests (click below) shall apply to O Canada In California unless otherwise stated in the above rules.
