Investigation into man’s sudden death underway

Police are investigating after a man was found dead on a trail system in Lake Country.

Lake Country RCMP were called to Spion Kop Summit for a report of a deceased man Tuesday (June 16) at 9 a.m.

Central Okanagan Search And Rescue and the Lake Country Fire Department helped to recover the body.

The dead man has been identified as a Lake Country man in his 30’s.

“At this time, criminality is not suspected in the man’s death,” stated RCMP Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, media relations officer for the Kelowna Regional Detachment.

The BC Coroners Service is investigating to determine the circumstances around the death.

No other information is being released.
