"Hey Ara and Toby. My daughter was just invited to join a competitive dance team at her studio - it's a big deal. They travel, compete, and it's a year-round commitment. I'm excited for her because she loves dance, and I want to support her but my husband is totally against it.
He says it's a money grab, that our daughter isn't 'that talented,' and that the studio is just taking advantage of eager parents. He's already said no. My daughter's heartbroken, and I'm stuck in the middle. I don't know what to do. Is this kind of thing really a scam sometimes, or is he being too harsh?"
